NEW YORK Positions

PROGRAMMATIC SALES MANAGER, NY

General Responsibilities:  Manage our programmatic demand partners, such as DSPs, advertising networks, RTB advertising exchanges and agency trading desks. Propose yield maximizing inventory supply strategies. You will also be given significant revenue responsibilities. Work with the ad operations and sales support teams, making sure that RTB campaigns are optimized and monitored and fed back to clients correctly, giving them insight into how their campaigns are running and post-campaign reporting/analysis that is easy to read and understand. Heavily involved in the day-to-day management of campaigns. You will be supported by the ad ops team but you must be able to traffic in SSP platforms and DFP. Additionally you will be required to train, guide and supervise the output to ensure campaigns are successful. In this role you will also collaborate with the traffic/editorial team on setting the Here Media audiences strategy.

DUTIES:
• Create the programmatic strategy, proposition and go-to-market
• Manage all existing programmatic demand partners (contracts, individual campaigns, etc.) Optimize programmatic platforms for maximum revenue generation
• Conduct periodic evaluation of RTB programs, identify new opportunities, and present recommendations for growth (i.e. new technologies, improved optimization, ad placement audits, etc.)
• Periodic reporting and analysis of our programmatic efforts
• Create and maintain strong relationships with the programmatic players in the market
• Review trading desk performance on a monthly basis and meet agencies to discuss and optimize our relationship
• Serve as single point-of-contact for all internal and external RTB-related inquiries, and pass along all relevant data to appropriate stakeholders

MANAGER AD OPERATIONS, NY

Job Summary:  The Manager, Ad Operations is involved in daily operations with a particular focus on campaign management (internal, exchanges, third party) and project management including sales initiative development. He or she also works closely with the Senior Director of Ad Operations on vendor research and management, strategy and reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Work directly with ad trafficker on daily performance of ad campaigns, optimization strategies, and user experience relating to ads.
• Communicate with Client Services to promote sales opportunities, and ensure campaign delivery to clients.
• Assist ad trafficker with ad tags, creative implementation, traffic reports and technical support; including new forms of ad serving outside of banners that need to be trafficked.
• Manages internal campaigns – programmatic, house, exchanges or other third parties.

• Utilize market research, customer feedback, sales reports, competitor data and market conditions to facilitate short and long range planning.
• Taking the lead on the creation of custom elements; from gathering assets to building of units and pages.
• Continuously learn about and keeps tabs on the latest trends in ad tech and the digital advertising industry in general.
• Trafficking complex custom ad creations, trouble shooting delivery issues, maintaining a clear and organized setup across the ad server, creating and generating custom reports.

Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years directly related working experience.
• DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) expert with experience and understanding of advanced ad serving including passback tags, viewability reporting and analytics and use of system-defined and user-defined templates.
• Experience with third party ad servers including Prisma, Atlas, Sizemik and DFA preferred.
• Operational knowledge of SSP admin systems including Rubicon, OpenX, AOLOne and AppNexus a plus.
• Experience managing programmatic yield optimization for a medium-sized digital publisher a plus.

INTEGRATED MARKETING COORDINATOR, NY

Job Summary:  The Integrated Marketing Coordinator maintains the day-to-day administrative and organizational support needs for the Integrated Marketing Team. Under the supervision of the Director, this person will ideate, create and implement large, high-impact integrated sales, marketing, and promotional strategies to drive revenue for Here Media properties. In their work supporting the team and working on assigned projects, the Coordinator will play an integral role in expanding the company’s mobile, digital, video, and social media capabilities. Like all Integrated Marketing roles, this job combines exceptional “big” idea creation, proposal writing, and multi-platform program execution.

Specific Duties:
Departmental Support: Includes activities such as calendar scheduling, updating marketing materials, travel organization, spreadsheets, and working closely with the Integrated Ad Sales/Marketing Coordinator to ensure good communication and cohesion between the teams.
RFPs: Complete request for proposals (RFPs) in multiple categories (fashion, travel, finance, pharmaceutical, liquor, etc.) and execute added value components, including events.
Sales Material Development: Work with creative services to create visually-arresting and compelling proposals, presentations, marketing and brand positioning collateral.

INTERNSHIP – GRAPHIC DESIGN, NEW YORK

The Graphic Design Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with the marketing and design team, gaining hands on experience designing in a corporate setting. Interns will be involved in a variety of creative tasks including, but not limited to, creative brainstorms, maintaining internal brand collateral, photo-research, creative mocks for marketing presentations, layout design, etc.

The most qualified intern candidates will be college students studying Graphic Design with a focus on marketing, advertising and social media. We're looking for dedicated, committed candidates that have an interest in the LGBT market. Additionally, interns should be efficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (specifically Powerpoint), detail oriented, able to multitask and capable of working in a fast paced environment.

INTERNSHIP - DIGITAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP, NEW YORK

The Digital Media Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design and production of large-scale, ad-supported websites including Out.com, Advocate.com, SheWired.com and OutTraveler.com. Interns will be involved with a wide variety of tasks including wire framing, prototyping, preparation of mockups, and final Q/A. Interns will gain real-world insight in the development of high-traffic web sites from initial concept to final launch.

The most qualified intern candidates will be college students studying Digital Media with a major focus on web design as it relates to news, advertising and social media. We're looking for dedicated, committed candidates that have an interest in the LGBT market. Additionally, interns should have basic familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite. INTERNSHIP – INTEGRATED MARKETING INTERN, NEW YORK

The Integrated Marketing Intern will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with both print and digital advertising. Interns will participate in sales and marketing meetings and work directly with those who are experienced in the field. Interns will be involved with many tasks including conducting research, competitive analysis, preparing media kits, planning and staffing advertiser events (Pride Events, OUT 100, etc.).

Interns will work alongside marketing managers in organizing, researching and executing long-term projects or special marketing initiatives.

INTERNSHIP – CONSUMER MARKETING INTERN, LOS ANGELES

The Consumer Marketing Intern will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience developing and executing 360 degree consumer marketing programs for top LGBT media brands including Gay.com and Here TV. Interns will participate in marketing, planning, and strategy meetings and work directly with the Director of Consumer Marketing. Interns will be involved with many tasks including conducting research, competitive analysis, preparing marketing materials, authoring promotional materials including sponsored editorial, and coordinating marketing events with nightlife partners across the country.

The most qualified intern candidates will be college students with a career focus in marketing or business, with interest in advertising, writing and social media. INTERNSHIP – EDITORIAL INTERN, LOS ANGELES

Editorial internships are offered in Los Angeles for Advocate.com, in tandem with our three partner sites, SheWired.com, HIVPlusMag.com, and OutTraveler. Interns will participate and gain exposure in the day-to-day production of online editorial, including content gathering, research, proofing, web site production, and more. Writing assignments may be possible, depending upon qualifications, but cannot be guaranteed. Interns are invited to take a place at daily editorial planning meetings and will work along with editors, art/photo department and other staff. Preferred editorial intern candidates will have a related field of study and a career interest in journalism or publishing. Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills are required.
